Day 1 - Nairobi

On arrival at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a Lion World Travel representative will welcome you and transfer you to Fairmont, The Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi’s best-known luxury hotel set in its own private tropical gardens, the hotel continues to be one of the most beloved landmarks in the city, and the launch point for 'bucket list' worthy safari tours.

Located just minutes away from Nairobi’s best attractions, including the home of Karen Blixen, represented in the Academy Award winning film ‘Out of Africa’ and Sheldrick’s Elephant Sanctuary, the hotel is also just steps away from artisanal craft shops and modern shopping centers.

Day 2 - Nairobi/Amboseli

Tortilis Camp

Start your safari with an afternoon game drive as you drive to your spacious, luxury tent at Tortilis Camp. The 4-star camp is widely regarded as the prime location for witnessing the majesty of Africa’s largest mountain, Kilimanjaro. All the makuti-covered tents are spacious, with elegant en-suite bathrooms. Baggage is restricted to 15kg per person on the domestic flights within East Africa. Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles and on aircraft used within Africa. Large suitcases of dimensions greater than 24" x 17"x 7" are impossible to store in vehicles and on aircraft and should not be used. (Baggage and personal effects are at owner's risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for travelers is strongly recommended).
